What has God revealed to me through my prayer time this morning?
The same power that raised CHRIST FROM THE DEAD lives IN ME! I have the power and authority to cast down anxious thoughts. God’s character lives in me. He is my Father, I am His heir. He can banish my shame, anxious thoughts, worry, doubt, false-identities, etc. as far as the East is from the West, NEVER to return back to me. I can partner with Him.
In loving God and loving others well, I can live in right-standing with God all the days of my life until I see Jesus face-to-face. In this, my greatest commandment, my purpose, will be fulfilled.
To love fully and to love well takes a heart like Jesus’. As humans, this is not our natural state. Luckily, God realizes this and realizes it takes help and knowledge to love like Jesus. So He gifted us the Holy Spirit and scripture that reminds us to abide and to ask for wisdom. To surrender our hearts. To beg to be softened. To give God the permission to invade our hearts and prune them. To teach us how to properly love. Earthly love exists and it can temporarily fill voids but in the end, it is weak and often flawed. It is hallow and poorly motivated. It is mortal. But there is a different kind of love that God knows. The love that God pours out and teaches and gifts us is an Agape love. An overflow of immortal and eternal love. We can learn to love like this if we surrender.
